Most computers have standard USB ports, which are not used to connect to a projector or TV. The image is an example of an HDMI cable. HDMI has become the standard for all electronic equipment for its high-quality signal and ability to carry both audio and video signals. Most laptop computers support HDMI, and it is becoming more prevalent on desktop computers, even those without a high-end video card. Nearly all modern televisions and projectors feature HDMI ports. The HDMI connection is currently the most common. I am not sure if there is something wrong with usb-c port in my laptop? Maybe I am using wrong adapter? I can connect only devices through Dsiplayport. ![]() I tried also usb-c to HDMI adapters but also with no success. I tried few different cables and even other DP to HDMI adapters with no result. Laptop doesn't detect any HDMi devices connected through that adapter and HDMI -HDMI cable. At my work I often use hdmi devices so I bought original HP Displayport to HDMI 1.4 adapter ( PN749214-001 Rev.A) and hdmi cable. I am using original HP USB-C to Displayport Adapter (PN 831119-001) - it works without any problems with DP-DP cable and with devices that use Displayport. I am using HP Envy x360 13-ag0700ng, and I can't connect any HDMI device (TV, projector or monitor) to my laptop.
